Would that I might curl up and die,

Behind closed doors, lie down and cry.

A broken heart that plagues my soul,

An endless torment that takes its toll.

The nights seem long with lack of sleep,

The days longer, with no company to keep.

My heart is empty, there's nothing left for me,

Broken into pieces, smothering me constantly.

True love, God's greatest gift of all,

Led me blindly to the edge, made me fall.

Now there is no one here left to tell,

Of how I am tormented in this hell!

There is no help for a breaking heart,

There is no tool to make it restart.

What song can I sing to ease my mind?

Is there some remedy I have yet to find?

No, there is nothing for people like me.

Lonlieness, suffering are the only things free.

Each day is a torment I must undergo,

Each night, her vision, I can't overthrow.

Her eyes, her scent, her waiving hair,

Her smile, her frown, her body bare,

There is nothing to her that I can compare,

Nothing that is so beautiful and rare.

Love can be kind and Love can be cruel.

But I have been taken for Love's greatest fool.

So now I stand alone, in a small dark room,

With only memories and tears to share my gloom.
